(ATR) The creation of "Super Hero" status and "Jackpot Times" are just a few of the innovations of the International Swimming League as it attracts a host of the world’s elite competitors with its creative team format and $6 million prize purse.
Divided into 10 teams across North America, Europe and Asia, more than 300 swimmers from approximately 50 countries are taking part in the five-week series held solely at the Duna Arena in Budapest, Hungary. Following its inaugural 2019 season, the ISL scurried to organize the 2020 edition amid the coronavirus pandemic, prioritizing athlete safety staging the short course competition in a secured bubble setting without spectators.

Kremlev Summons Rhetoric from Trump for Boxing Bid
(ATR) Promising to "make AIBA great again", Russian boxing leader Umar Kremlev declares he’s a candidate to lead the troubled boxing federation.
Currently secretary general of the Russian Boxing Federation and a member of the AIBA executive board, Kremlev is the fifth to seek election to the post.
Using the technological backbone of news agency Izsvestiya, Kremlev announced his candidacy in a live stream teleconference with nearly three dozen reporters from around the globe as well as journalists at the briefing in Moscow.

Paralympic Refugee Team, Chefs Webinar
(ATR) A Paralympic swimmer from the 2012 Games in London will lead the refugee team to be selected for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Ileana Rodriguez, a refugee from Cuba who is now a US citizen, has been named as Chef de Mission for the six-member team for Tokyo.
"As a former refugee who was lucky enough to compete in the Paralympics, I appreciate the value of having a Refugee Paralympic Team - it represents sports beyond nationalities and our athletes who will compete in Tokyo will be a symbol of hope for other refugees around the world,," she says in a statement.
Rodriguez is an architect in Texas where her practice specializes in accessible buildings.
