At the House of the Marquis of Valdehoyos, in the historic center of Cartagena (Bolivar), the presidents of Colombia, Iván Duque, and Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benitez, held a meeting on April 24 to discuss human rights and the strengthening of bilateral relations. In this regard, at the end of the meeting, two cooperation agreements were signed and acknowledgments were exchanged.
As for the agreements, these are two instruments of cooperation; one on human rights and the other on driving licenses. The first allows the two countries to exchange information, experiences and good practices in the field of human rights. Likewise, they will be able to advance the development of projects and academic activities related to the subject and share joint positions in the main international negotiation forums.
As for the second agreement, it seeks the reciprocal recognition of driver's licenses. The instrument provides benefits for citizens and entrepreneurs of both nations in terms of mobility and promotion of sectors such as tourism.
