Former president of SaludCoop Carlos Gustavo Palacino was sentenced Monday to ten years in prison for the crime of embezzlement for appropriation in favor of third parties. In addition, the former official must pay a fine of 50,000 statutory minimum wages in force.
Palacino had two legal proceedings against him for embezzling the entity SaludCoop EPS. The former president was captured in 2018, however, the following year he regained his freedom due to the expiration of terms.
