The commander of the National Army, General Eduardo Zapateiro, responded to questions about the operation carried out by the military in Puerto Leguizamo in Putumayo. The events, which were presented on March 28, have the national government in the magnifying glass because 11 civilians were presented as alleged members of the FARC dissidence.
Zapateiro stated in an interview with RCN News that the operation was framed “in International Humanitarian Law (IHL), and (was) an operation planned and accompanied by a dominant intelligence directed against a criminal structure, the Gaor 48″.
