After almost 13 hours of blockade in the North Peripheral, at the height of the municipality of Naucalpan de Juárez, in the State of Mexico, the relatives of Hugo Carbajal released the traffic lanes in both directions and currently maintain a camp set up on the outskirts of Parque Naucalli.
The reason for the blockade: they demand justice for the murder of their 15-year-old son, who left his home last 2 April to attend a party in Jilotzingo, Edomex, but was attacked with a knife.
For that reason, parents, friends, acquaintances and loved ones of the teenager kept traffic blocked in the Northern Peripheral since 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5. Hector Hugo Carbajal, the child's father, assured that they would keep the lanes taken until the person responsible for the murder of his son is behind bars.
And the fact is that the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) reported that the arrest warrant had already been issued against Maurico “N”, who was identified as the alleged murderer because of the audiovisual evidence that Hugo's parents were able to obtain. However, so far he has not been arrested.
Around 22:00 hours they partially freed traffic and around 2:00 in the morning they lifted the blockade in its entirety, which had caused road chaos in the area, reported state police personnel.
The decision to reopen the lanes came after the minor's parents (Hugo Carbajal and Maureen Amaro) held a dialogue with the Secretary of Government, Ricardo de la Cruz Musalem, and the Homicide Prosecutor, Mario Salas, in which it was agreed to reopen a lane to traffic provided that the alleged murderer of your son.
Although Hugo Carbajal (father) demanded the presence of the governor of Edomex, Alfredo del Mazo, and the Attorney General of Justice, José Luis Cervantes, neither of them came forward. For his part, the Deputy Secretary General of the Edomex government, Ricardo de la Cruz Musalem, went to the place where the blockade was being maintained to reach an agreement with the minor's parents.
In the event that a resolution is not obtained from the Mexican authorities within the next 48 hours, there is a possibility that roads will be blocked again in the North Peripheral, according to the reports of Hugo's parents to local media.
On Saturday, April 2, Hugo Carbajal, a 15-year-old teenager, attended a party with a group of friends in an event hall known as Imperio, located in the municipality of Jilotzingo, Edomex.
According to the information given to the minor's parents, Mauricio “N” reportedly attacked Hugo with a glass bottle and hit him on the head, which also caused injuries to his neck. A video circulating on social networks shows the moment when the teenager is recharging on the chest of his alleged murderer while watching blood emanate from his neck.
Although the motive for the murder has not been proven, Maureen Amaro (Hugo's mother) commented that the crime was committed by an altercation involving her son. After the attack, Hugo was taken to a hospital in the area, but lost his life hours later. His body was buried on Monday, March 4 in Barrientos, Tlalnepantla, Edomex.
