Maureen Amaro, mother of Hugo Carbajal (a teenager killed on April 2), said they expect results from the Mexican state authorities in less than 24 hours for the arrest of the person suspected of the murder of his son.

And it is that after lifting the blockade in Periférico Norte during the early morning of this Wednesday, April 6, which lasted approximately 13 hours, the Hugo's parents warned that they would only give 48 hours for the Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) to complete the detention of Mauricio “N”, identified as the alleged perpetrator.

Hugo's parents' demands come after the State Prosecutor's Office reported that an arrest warrant was already in place, but so far it has not been complied with. Meanwhile, they commented that they do not plan to make a new closure to the circulation of the Northern Peripheral in the next few hours.

For his part, the undersecretary of government of the State of Mexico, Ricardo de la Cruz Musalem, told local media that “there is total and absolute confidence in the Edomex Prosecutor's Office” to secure the arrest of Mauricio “N”. It should be recalled that Ricardo Musalem attended since Tuesday, April 5, the blockade maintained by Hugo Carbajal's family and friends to engage in dialogue and negotiate the release of some lanes.

The blockade began at 9:00 a.m. on April 5 and lasted until 10:00 p.m., when Hugo's parents held a conversation with Musalem and Homicide Prosecutor Mario Salas, after which it was agreed to reopen a traffic lane. It was not until 2:00 in the morning of April 6 that the blockade was lifted in its entirety.

The closure of the lanes occurred at the height of the municipality of Naucalpan de Juárez and generated traffic chaos for hours. At the moment, Hugo's relatives have a camp set up outside the Naucalli Park.

“I expect results in less than 24 hours,” said Hugo's mother and said that, if they don't get them, they will decide what to do in due course. “As you can see, I didn't mourn my son. Everyone knows that I slept here on the floor,” he added, and assured that they will continue at that point until they see strong results.

As far as is known so far, Hugo attended a “clandestine party” on Saturday, April 2 at the Imperio event hall, located in the municipality of Jilotzingo, Edomex, where he was attacked by Mauricio “N” with a glass bottle. Although the reason for the altercation is not known, the minor received a blow to the head with the device, which also caused injuries to his neck.

A video that began to circulate on social media shows Hugo lying on the chest of his alleged murderer, his neck bloody. After the attack, the young man was taken to a hospital in Atizapán, which was 15 kilometers from the event hall, but the medical staff failed to save his life. As a result, the Empire Hall was secured by elements of the municipal police.

On the other hand, at his morning conference this Wednesday, April 6, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador commented that they have established communication with Hugo Carbajal's parents. “It is being taken care of. The person responsible has already been identified (...) Rosa Icela (head of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection is seeing it,” he said. However, Maureen Amaro dismissed this information. “The only person who has given his face here is Ricardo de la Cruz Musalem,” he said.
