On the afternoon of this Wednesday, March 23, the Chamber of Deputies approved the Ingrid Law, which consists of a reform of the Federal Penal Code which will punish public servants who disseminate images, audios, videos, documents or sensitive information about victims.
With a gender perspective, this initiative has the historical precedent of Ingrid Escamilla, a woman who was a victim of femicide in February 2020 in Mexico City and whose body was shown with impunity in national newspapers.
