The 27-year-old, identified by the name of Loïk Le Priol, was in the border town of Zahony, in a sector where the boundaries of Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine cross. “The foreigner told the police that he had military training and that he would have gone to Ukraine to fight,” Hungarian police assured French media outlet RMC Sports.
The arrest took place around eight o'clock in the evening of Tuesday, March 22, at the border post located in that city. “The police investigation found that the man was wanted and that the French authorities had issued a European arrest warrant for murder. The Zahony police arrested the man, took him to the police station and detained him,” said the file to which the media outlet had access.
During the regulatory search carried out by the local police forces, three knives were found in the vehicle he used to move. The crime took place around 6 am on Saturday morning in Paris and Le Priol was arrested more than 72 hours after the incident some 1800 kilometers from that French city.
