(ATR) The Polish minister for sport is one of two candidates to lead the World Anti-Doping Agency.

(ATR)Witold Banka, minister for sport and tourism in Poland is one of the two candidates in the running for election as president of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

The 34-year-old was once a top sprinter in Poland, a member of the national team, a bronze medalist at the 2008 Olympics.

Banka is the nominee of Europe for the WADA post. The only other continental nominee is Marcos Diaz, vice minister for sport in the Dominican Republic. The election is in November at the World Anti Doping Conference in Katowice, Poland.

He speaks with Around the Rings Editor Ed Hula about his interest in the post, his ideas for change and the challenges ahead for WADA.
