(ATR)The office of Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is holding a Citizens Advisory Group meeting this week where the city's bid for the 2024 Olympic Games could come up.

The meeting will take place March 31 at the Harvard University Business School.

It's the first meeting since bid committee chair John Fish announced the bid would seek a binding statewide referendum in 2016.

The latest poll from public radio affiliate WBUR showed only 36 percent support of city residents for the 2024 bid..

Media Forum in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan welcomes 30+ members of the media this week for a forum onthe city's plans to host the 2017 Asian and Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

Media will also preview developments at the Ashgabat Olympic Center.

The trip includes VIP access to the Asiada conference which will cover a range of topics including how Olympic Agenda 2020 is making an impact and what is now needed to become a sports capital.

Around the Ringsdirector of business development Ed Hula III will be among media at the forum in Ashgabat this week.

World Men's Curling Championship

The 2015World Men's Curling Championship is underway inHalifax, Nova Scotia.

Norway are the defending champions, hoping to secure their fifth title at theWorld Men's Curling Championship.

Competition ends April 5.

Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship

The International Ice Hockey Federation is staging the Women's World Championship in Malmo, Sweden.

Eight teams from around the world will participate in this year's event including Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

The 16th edition of the Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship ends onApril 4.
