The meeting will take place in San Francisco on Dec. 13 led by USOC president Larry Probst. The agenda for the meeting will feature reports about Team USA’s visit to the White House to meet President Barack Obama, strategies to succeed at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the budget for 2017.

USOC leaders will also hear from the Los Angeles 2024 Olympic bid on its efforts now in the final stage of its candidature. LA 2024 will be represented by chief executive officer Gene Sykes.

The new Olympic Channel, potential issues with PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and anti-doping reforms will also feature heavily in the meeting. The USOC could likely discuss Friday’s release of part two of the McLaren report that outlines the rampant doping conspiracy throughout Russian sport from 2011-2014.

USOC leaders Probst and chief executive officer Scott Blackmun will hold a teleconference following the day-long meeting at 3:30 pm PT.

Last Chance to Vote in Sports City Poll 2016

Voting in the annual Around the Rings and TSE Consulting "Sports City Poll 2016" is still open.

The annual poll started in 2012 aims to rank "cities [which] are perceived to have the strongest association with sport". Respondents choose who they feel meets this criteria from a list of 50 cities. The public vote is then combined with an industry-weighted vote to produce the results. "In its fifth year, the Sport City Poll is a great indicator to get the public and sports experts opinions on the efforts made by cities to position themselves as top sport destinations," Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director, TSE Consulting, said in a statement. "This was a great year, and we look forward to see which city will take the top spot."

The poll closes on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The results will be available Dec. 19 through the ATR website and TSE Consulting.

ATR Editor Ed Hula says the poll shows world cities what "kind of impact they have made on the public and the sport world" over the past year. As sport tourism continues to grow, cities continue to compete for the title of top destination.
