Toyota president Akio Toyoda and his IOC counterpart Thomas Bach are to attend the signing ceremony next week in Tokyo, according to a Kyodo news agency report.

The deal, to run through the Tokyo 2020 Games, is said to be worth an estimated $835 million.

McDonald's Adopts New Antibiotic Policy

McDonald’s is doing away with chicken raised on antibiotics.

The TOP sponsor announced on Mar. 4 it would be working with its suppliers to eliminate human antibiotics from the veterinary care for its farm-raised chickens.

As well as the change in poultry antibiotic policy, all cows that supply McDonald’s milk will no longer be treated with artificial growth hormones.

The displeasure expressed by McDonald’s consumers over the antibiotics policies has led the company to explore possible changes. McDonald’s started a transparency campaign last year, which allowed consumers to ask the corporation what was in the food they were eating.

"Our customers want food that they feel great about eating -- all the way from the farm to the restaurant -- and these moves take a step toward better delivering on those expectations," Mike Andres, McDonald's U.S president, said in a statement.

The removal of antibiotics in McDonald’s chicken is part of a larger program to review the use of "antimicrobial" treatments in animals. The full program that McDonald’s is implementing can be found here.

"We will continue to look at our food and menu to deliver the kind of great tasting and quality choices that our customers trust and enjoy."

German NOC Partner

The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) has added its first Austrian partner.

Sport nutrition company The Kornspitz was named a co-partner of the DOSB on Mar. 5. The Kornspitz will create a bakery at "German House," a hospitality house run by the DOSB, at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

"Since London 2012, we believe in the power of the [Olympic] rings, and are pleased that we are now in Germany," Peter Augendopler , The Kornspitz owner, said in a DOSB release.

"It makes us proud that we enter into a partnership with the German Olympic Sports Confederation, by the way we can expand our commitment to the Olympic Movement."

Samsung Battery Change

New Samsung Galaxy phones will not allow the option to switch batteries.

For the new Galaxy S6 models, the phones will for the first time be sealed shut. In previous models consumers could open up the phone to insert a new battery, extending the life of the hardware.
