(ATR) Tokyo 2020 reveals a trio of sponsorship agreements this week.

Worldwide Paralympic partner Samsung added Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Gold partner to its portfolio on Friday.

Samsung joins the highest tier of the domestic sponsorship program in the category "Wireless Communications Equipment". The total number of Tokyo 2020 Paralympic partners now stands at 78.

On Wednesday, Panasonic was unveiled as a Supporting Partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay. The company is a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"We hope that Panasonic, whose products and technologies have touched the lives of people all over Japan for many years, will bring similar excitement to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay," Tokyo 2020 president Yoshiro Mori said in a statement.

Finally, Tokyo 2020 announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to an expansion of its domestic sponsorship agreement with NEC Corporation, which will include the new product category of "Private Network Radio Systems".

The agreement runs until Dec. 31, 2020.

It is NEC’s third product category, in addition to Specialist Public Safety Equipment & Software (biometric authentication, behavior detection and analysis, and drones) and Network Equipment (SDN, wired and wireless networks).

Coca-Cola Headlines Sponsors at Boxing Qualifier

Worldwide Olympic Partner Coca-Cola leads a list of sponsors for the Tokyo 2020 Asia and Oceania boxing qualifier in Amman, Jordan next month.

Societe Generale De Banque Jordan (SGBJ), Zain Jordan, Buffalo Wings and Rings, Taishan and Aramex are also supporting the local organizing committee.

Jordan was chosen late last month by the IOC’s Boxing Task Force to host the event, which had to be moved from China due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Prince Hamzah Hall at Al Hussein Youth City is the venue for the qualifier, which runs from March 3-11 in the Jordanian capital.

"We have been short on time but huge on effort to ensure that this event meets the extremely high standards of the Olympic family," said Nasser Majali, Secretary General of the Jordan Olympic Committee and CEO of the LOC.

"The support that we have received from the business community has been particularly heartening and provides us with the helping hand required to host a world-class event."

FIVB, WSC Sports Grow Partnership

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and WSC Sports announce an ongoing partnership to create and distribute AI-powered video content on a global level.

WSC Sports’s technology, which enables FIVB to customize and distribute highlights tailored to fans in different geographical areas, has been put to use during a six-month launch period that included the Volleyball Nations League and Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers.

The federation says its social media audience doubled despite some of the major social channels changing their algorithms.

The FIVB is now expanding its efforts to include the major men’s and women’s events. In addition, the FIVB and WSC Sports also plan to automate beach volleyball content creation and analyze 10+ years of archived content while also supporting FIVB's national federations in their own efforts to drive digital engagement with volleyball.

"The FIVB’s cooperation with WSC Sports reinforces the global impact of our events on digital and proves our commitment to showcasing the best of volleyball to our fans, thanks to innovative digital solutions," said FIVB Secretary General Fernando Lima. "This partnership empowers the FIVB to deliver an unprecedented experience directly to fans wherever they are."
