(ATR) Welcome to Around the Rings' first special edition magazine of the year, and our preview of events in South America, Asia and Europe.

Aaron Bauer reports on the Asian Games, which will take center stage this August in Indonesia. With a whopping 40 sports, it's considerably bigger than the Summer Olympics.

Next up, how Buenos Aires will use the Youth Olympic Games to do what has never been achieved before in an Olympic event -- gender parity. For the first time, there will be as many female athletes as male.

It's never too early to think about what you want to see at the next Olympics. Gerard Farek previews new sports for Tokyo 2020, and gives a peek at the decisions Paris 2024 has yet to make.

The issue of sexual abuse and harassment is one of the year’s hot button topics. Surprisingly, it is not yet front and center for many of the federations. ATR Editor Ed Hula reports on his findings.

As always, we want to thank our advertisers and subscribers for their support. They've kept us going strong for more than 25 years -- the longest of any Olympic publication in existence. Here's to the next 25!
