(ATR) Richard McLaren, head of the investigation that found evidence of state-sponsored doping in Russia, will host a Q&A session during the annual World Anti-Doping Agency symposium.
The event will be held at the Swiss Tech Convention Center in Lausanne this year.
Under the theme "Tackling our Challenges and Strengthening the Future of Clean Sport", WADA will explore topics including whistleblowing programs, boosting anti-doping and clean athletes.
WADA's Chief Operating OfficerFrédéric Donzé will open the symposium.
Also speaking at the conference will be Craig Reedie, president of WADA, along with other WADA leaders such as its Director General Oliver Niggli, members of anti-doping organizations and more.
Registration is open until Feb. 24 and information can be found herealong with a full list of speakers.
The WADA Annual Symposium will be held on March 13.
Sustainable Sport Learning Module Explores Challenges in Sport
The International Academy of Sport Science and Technology research center will host the 2017 Sustainable Sport Learning Module at the Olympic Capitol.
Over two days, course participants will explore case studies on sports organizations such as the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) and International Olympic Committee (IOC) that face "current challenges and opportunities of sustainability in sport" according to a release.
Speakers include the Head of Sustainability for the IOC Michelle Lemaitre, CEO of the Lausanne 2020 Organizing Committee Ian Logan, the Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for the NHL Omar Mitchell and more.

Leaders Hosts first Bi-annual Sport Performance Summit of 2017
The Leaders Sport Performance Summit will head to Los Angeles, California on March 11.
The Summit is the bi-annual gathering of organizations and businesses within the international sports movement.
Leaders says interested parties will "Learn, engage and hear from the most senior knowledgeable global performance practitioners". The first summit of 2017 will feature 11 speakers. Among those are Australian Rugby Union head coach Michael Cheika and Quaterback Coach of the Green Bay Packers Alex van Pelt.
The full list of confirmed speakers will soon to be announced.
The Summit intends to cover topics including 'Coaching Millennials in California' and 'Looking inside the Mind of a Decision Maker' in sessions based on management, leading, talent, coaching and more.
Previous to the event, Leaders will be hosting a facility tour at the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium on March 10.
MEI Announces Summit Venue
The Major Events Summit will welcome 140 companies to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Plexal London beginning on July 12.
The venue is the former Olympic press and broadcast center for the London Games and Europe’s "largest innovation ecosystem" according to the summits host, Major Events International (MEI)
"We are delighted to be using Plexal to host our next MEI Summit. Based on the edge of the Olympic Park it is a fitting backdrop to share experience, market insights, industry trends and to identify supply chain collaboration and innovative market solutions," Dennis Millis CEO of MEI said in a statement.
Over two days the Summit will go into detailed discussion of topics including fan engagement, technology and safety & security.
Following the first day of the Summit an awards dinner will be held to celebrate the contributions of suppliers, experts and event organizers in the major events market.
The Summit will conclude on July 13.
