PyeongChang 2018 Launches Online Membership Program

PyeongChang, August 18 – The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) has set up its first two-way communication channel by opening an official online membership program on its website for the public beginning August 18 .

Anyone interested in the upcoming Games will be able to create an "Online Membership Program" account. Under the concept of ‘Passion Connected Begins on August 18’, members will receive the latest information of the PyeongChang Olympic Games, such as competition schedules, ticketing, torch relay events etc. In addition, account holders will have the opportunity to receive official invitations of major events hosted by POCOG.

As an effort to enhance the Olympic experience of local and foreign spectators, the ‘Online Membership Program’ will be the first two-way communication channel of the organizing committee and the public.

Especially, members of the program will be able to select their own field of interest while personal information will be collected to a minimum.

EOM Chanwang, POCOG Director General of Marketing commented, "All eyes will be on PyeongChang 2018 after Rio 2016. Therefore, we will develop a unique information system to provide information based on the needs of potential spectators and put our efforts to create an exciting atmosphere for the success of the Games."
