(ATR) Lars Haue-Pedersen, managing director of TSE Consulting, says the results of the '2015 Sports City Poll' show, in terms of London 2012's legacy, "some things last."

In this edition of ATRadio, Haue-Pedersen added, "The success of the London Games is highlighted in the fact that people today still perceive London as being a very strong sports city."

London is ranked the world's leading sports city, according to voters who participated in the '2015 Sports City Poll'.Followed closely by Lausanne and Barcelona, London tops the list for the fourth consecutive year.

The results of the '2015 Sports City' Poll were announced on Dec. 16. Presented by Around the Rings in collaboration with TSE Consulting, the 'Sports City Poll' ranks the top 50 sports cities from around the world on how well the public associates the city with sport.

Rounding out the top five finishers this year are Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. New additions to the top ten cities include Edmonton and Paris who replace Melbourne and Glasgow.

Results are based on a public online vote coupled with an industry vote from sports experts – a group of 100 leaders drawn from International Federations, NOCs, sports media and other influencers in the world of sport.

With each edition of the poll, the three lowest ranked cities drop off the list and the top three non-listed cities named by the survey respondents are added. New cities to be added to the 2016 edition of the ranking, as chosen by voters, are Budapest, Gwangju (Korea) and San Francisco.
