(ATR) The IOC announced on Tuesday that Brasov, Romania and Lausanne, Switzerland are bidding for the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

The Youth Olympic Games Evaluation Commission will analyze the candidature files from both cities before preparing and submitting a report to the IOC Executive Board.

From there, the board will pick a city to further evaluate at its meeting in December 2014. Following further assessment, a report will be created and sent to IOC members, who will elect the host city for the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games at the IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur in the summer of 2015.

The IOC does not release any candidature files, but allows bid cities to do so on June 18.
