SANTO DOMINGO.- La Organización Deportiva Centroamericana y del Caribe (ODECABE), aprobó, en la Asamblea General Extraordinaria, cambiar su nombre a CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS y estrenar nuevo logo, dentro de una estrategia de renovación de la entidad.
El presidente de dicha organización, Luis Mejía Oviedo (DOM), proclamó a todos los países miembros que "una nueva etapa para el deporte Centro Americano y del Caribe acaba de comenzar".
La modificación de la identidad de ODECABE a CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS, eliminó que la organización tenga dos nombres, uno en inglés y otro en español y cambia a un nombre que es entendible en cualquier idioma.
Además trae consigo un logo multicolor, el cual mantiene los colores de todas las banderas de los países y miembros asociados que componen el organismo, con base en la misma temática a los aros olímpicos, representando la integración de todos en CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS.
La presentación de la nueva identidad de la organización fue realizada por Felipe Vicini (DOM) y Manuel Luna (DOM), presidente y miembro de la Comisión de Mercadeo y Comunicaciones de CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS, respectivamente.
"Desde que me propuse asumir la presidencia de esta organización siempre les aseguré que mi objetivo número uno era la integración y unión de todos los miembros y la renovación de nuestro organismo hacia una entidad moderna y vanguardista; hoy ustedes hacen historia aprobando este cambio de marca para poder relanzar Centro Caribe Sports", afirmó Mejía luego de aprobada la iniciativa.
El cambio de identidad se aprobó este sábado 19 de septiembre, con los 37 países y miembros asociados presentes, durante la Asamblea General Extraordinaria, a través de la plataforma ZOOM.
Con la aprobación de este cambio, la Comisión de Mercadeo y Comunicaciones informó que iniciará a desplegar la estrategia de marketing para acercar a Centro Caribe Sports a los países miembros, atletas y a las marcas empresariales de la región.
