UCI News

The International Cycling Union's (UCI) 2013 Road World Championships opened Sunday in Toscana, Italy. Events continue throughSeptember 29.

Islamic Solidarity Games

The Islamic Solidarity Games opened Sunday in Palembang, Indonesia. 33 athletes will spearhead the kingdom in three disciplines – athletics, karate and taekwondo. Competition ends October 1.

Tahiti is staging the seventh edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. The "beach showdown" began September 18 and continues through September 28.

Road to Sochi 2014

The IOC arrives in Sochi Tuesday for its 10th and final Coordination Commission. The Coordination Commission will end on September 26.

World Archery

The 2013 World Archery Championships begin September 29 in Belek. The city is part of Turkey's Antalya province.Competition ends on October 6.

The 50th World Archery Congress will be held in Antalya, Turkey September 27 and 28.

FILA World Championships

The International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) World Championships came to an end on Sunday in Budapest, Hungary.Wrestlers competed in all three international styles of men's freestyle, men's Greco-Roman and women's freestyle wrestling.Wrestling was reinstated to the 2020 Games program during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
