Pistorius Hearing Resumes

The bond hearing of Olympic and Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius resumes Tuesday in Pretoria, South Africa.

On Friday, Pistorius, 26, was formally charged with murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. He stands accused of "pre-meditated murder" with police claiming he shot Steenkamp four times in the bathroom of his home early Thursday.

Kalmadi on Trial

Trials considering corruption charges against Suresh Kalmadi, chief organizer of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, resume Wednesday.

At hand are allegations Kalmadi, president of the Indian Olympic Association at the time, manipulated the awarding of contracts that cost India millions of dollars.

If found guilty, he faces life in prison.

Secretary general Raffaele Pagnozzi and board member Giovanni Malagò are the two candidates up for election Tuesday to the presidency of the Italian National Olympic Committee.

"It’s very open," a CONI source tells Around the Rings.
