Former IOC president Jacques Rogge visited the home of the 2012 Summer Games on Tuesday, but it was not for a legacy checkup.

The Belgian received an honorary knighthood in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The honor was presented by British IOC member Princess Anne, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II.

The award comes in commemoration of his service to the Olympic Movement.

Rogge served as IOC president from 2001 to 2013 before stepping down in September. German Thomas Bach was elected as his replacement at the IOC Session in Buenos Aires.
