China Tailors IOC Garb
The wardrobe of the IOC for the next two Olympics will come from China.
The IOC signed off on a deal for ANTA to become the official sportswear supplier for IOC staff at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, as well as the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne and the 2022 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar.
The Xiamen, China company has been in business since 1991 and is known for its high performance gear. ANTA already has Olympic experience as the official sports apparel partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee since 2009. The company also provided IOC uniforms for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 and the YOG Buenos Aires 2018.
The agreement with ANTA was signed in a ceremony at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne Tuesday.
"We were very pleased by the excellent quality and designs of the uniforms delivered for PyeongChang 2018 and Buenos Aires 2018, and we have been very impressed by the professionalism, great service spirit and flexibilityof the ANTA team," said IOC President Thomas Bach.

Youth Olympic Village Inaugurated in Lausanne
The Lausanne 2020 Organizing Committee takes charge of the Youth Olympic Village, 70 days before the Games begin.
The keys to the Vortex were handed over in an official ceremony on Thursday.
The pension fund of the State of Vaud (CPEV) financed and managed the construction of the building. For the first time in the history of the Youth Olympic Games, all athletes staying in Lausanne will be housed under one roof.
The Vortex is a 27-meter high, ring-shaped construction made up of 712 units spread along a one percent sloped, 2.8 km single spiral ramp. The building is located near multiple public transport lines, facilitating the athletes’ travels between the Olympic Village and the competition venues.

Mundial de Karate en Chile sin incidentes pese a disturbios
El Campeonato Mundial de Karate para juveniles transcurrió sin incidentes a pesar de los disturbios en las calles de Chile y el Estado de Emergencia decretado.

En la última fecha dedicada a las categorías U21 en Kumite femenino y Team Kata, Chile logró una medalla de oro en los 55 kg por medio de Valentina Toro lo que se recibió como un mensaje de alegria del deporte enviado en el convulso contexto social.
