3x3 Basketball Scores at Minsk 2019

Three-on-three basketball was a big hit at the European Games with players and teams dreaming of competing at Tokyo 2020 as the fast-paced game anticipates its Olympic debut.

Athletes praised the Pavlova Arena venue, an excellent, albeit temporary structure, ideally situated just a short walk from Minsk’s bustling Old Town.

"It’s really high quality - I really like playing here, my colleagues also – the atmosphere is great," said Wojciech Pisarczyk of Poland. " There are much more people here than at the Amsterdam World Cup. In every single game it’s full of fans. Pavlova Arena is one of my favorites with a very nice court.

ITF Shakes Up Fed Cup Format

The International Tennis Federation has introduced reforms for its top women’s team competition from 2020.

Under new ‘World Cup of Tennis’ branding, 20 countries will compete each year to become world champions, with 12 rather than eight qualifying for the Fed Cup Finals.

Budapest will host the first Fed Cup finals at the Laszlo Papp Budapest Sports Arena on clay next April, and for the two following years. Women’s teams will compete for a total prize fund of $18 million, with $12 million going to players and $6 million to national associations.
