FrancsJeux: 'A Tokyo 2020, les refugies viseront les medailles'

Le CIO n’oublie pas les réfugiés. Après leur avoir ouvert la porte de l’univers olympique, aux Jeux de Rio 2016, il entend bien leur donner une meilleure place l’an prochain à Tokyo 2020. La délégation des réfugiés comptera un plus grand nombre d’athlètes. A la cérémonie d’ouverture, elle défilera pour la première fois de l’histoire en deuxième position, juste derrière la Grèce.

A sa tête, Tegla Loroupe (photo ci-dessus). L’ex marathonienne kényane était la cheffe de mission de l’équipe des réfugiés aux Jeux de Rio 2016. Elle le sera encore l’été prochain à Tokyo. Présente la semaine passée au Forum international Peace and Sport à Monaco, elle a répondu aux questions de FrancsJeux.
