World Rugby Conference and Exhibition

The International Rugby Board has announced the inaugural World Rugby Conference and Exhibition.

The event will run Nov. 17-20 in Dublin, Ireland.

According to the IRB, the conference will include a "comprehensive program of meetings, conference sessions, workshops and networking events accompanied by an exhibition that will facilitate interaction."

The event will be organized around the IRB General Assembly and IRB Medical Commission Conference. Representatives from all 118 National Member Unions are expected to attend.

Stadium & Arena Management Conference

Registration for the 2013 Stadium & Arena Management Conference is now open.

The conference gives delegates a chance to interact with more than 40 industry experts who will be presenting in Istanbul.

Topics for discussion include: "Maximizing Returns for Events without Compromising Content," "Fan Engagement Strategies," and "Strategies to Unlock your Venues Revenue."

The conference will take place at the Ülker Sport Arena from May 21 to 23.

"Delegates will receive unrestricted access to the conference and exhibition, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Ülker Sports Arena," conference organizers said in a statement.

IOC World Conference on Sport and Environment

Sochi will stage the 2013 IOC World Conference on Sport and the Environment.

The conference will present the IOC Sport and Environment Awards, which "recognize outstanding actions at grassroots level."

"The biennial event is one of the IOC’s key advocacy initiatives in the field of the environment and attracts representatives from the Olympic family, governments, the UN system, academic institutions, NGOs, sponsors and the media," said the IOC in a statement.

The conference will run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. More information can be found here.

IPC General Assembly

Athens, Greece has been announced as the host for the 2013 IPC General Assembly.

The assembly will run from Nov. 23 to 24, while the IPC Congress will take place on Nov. 22.

Elections for IPC President, Vice President and 10 other members of the IPC Governing Board will take place Nov. 24.

"We're very excited and looking forward to heading back to Athens for this year's General Assembly," said Xavier Gonzalez, the IPC's Chief Executive Officer.

"This year's event has extra significance due to the Governing Board elections and we will be communicating the nominations process to all members in due course."

SportAccord Convention

SportAccord Convention announced the theme of "City Forum 2013."

The forum will focus on "city objectives in hosting sporting events and explore ways of measuring the performance of events."

Dr. Beatriz Garcia from the University of Liverpool will deliver the keynote address of the Forum entitled "What’s Your Position?"

The forum will feature panels titled "The Right Fit – Matching Events With City Priorities," "Using Social Media To Maximisze Benefit," and "A Quick Guide to Multi-Sport Events."

Speakers include Peter Bayer, Managing Director of OSM – Opensportsmanagement; Andrew Craig, The Craig Company; Vincent Gaillard, Director General of SportAccord; and more.
