City Events

Dates and theme for the 2013 City Events Conference have been announced.

Sessions will run November 13-15 in Lausanne. The theme of the conference is "Sporting Events in the Near Future."

The organizers for the event this year include GL Events Group and FISU.

Confirmed attendees include National Olympic Committees, organizing committees, stadium operators, city representatives and more.

IOC Session

The 125th IOC Session will take place in Buenos Aires from Sept. 4 through 12.

The IOC will decide the host city for the 2020 Olympics on Sept. 7 as well as the next IOC president on Sept. 10.

The 2020 sports program will also be finalized at the Session.

World Conference on Doping and Sport

The fourth World Conference on Doping and Sport will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from Nov. 12 to 15.

A new version of the World Anti-Doping Code will be ratified by WADA at the event.

"For this reason, members of the world’s anti-doping community are encouraged to attend this highly-significant event."

WADA stakeholders will be allowed to publicly comment on the proceedings during the conference.

Soccerex

Soccerex has confirmed that its 2013 African Forum will be held Oct. 1 and 2 in Durban, South Africa.

The event is expected to bring together more than 1,000 football decision makers focusing on the growth and development of African football.

The president of the Ghana Football Association, and CAF executive board member, Kwesi Nyantakyi will speak at the event. Nyantakyi also guided the Ghananian U-20 side to victory at the 2009 U-20 World Cup.

Soccerex’s Global Convention is slated for Nov. 23-27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The convention will feature over 4,500 of football’s most senior decision-makers and "will be the culmination of four years of business development ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games".
