(ATR) The chair of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee says the new U.S. president will be a plus for Team USA as it heads to Tokyo this July and August for the postponed 2020 Games.

Susanne Lyons says Joe Biden knows the Olympics well from his past stint as vice president and a U.S. Senator.

Lyons talks about the relationship between the USOPC and the US government with Around the Rings Editor Ed Hula in the latest ATRadio podcast. In the wide-ranging conversation she delivers assurance that the Tokyo Olympics will take place, reacts to calls for a boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing over human rights concerns and talks about the fallout of the CAS ruling for the fight against doping.
