The use of 3 tons of fireworks, 20 km of fiber optic cables, 2,000 lights, 76,000 kg of scaffolding, 60,000 strictly recyclable batteries are also included in the production of the event.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the major sporting events in the world are designed, edited and produced in all aspects and technical details by Filmmaster Events. For the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics in Rio 36,350 accreditations were recorded and 12,000 volunteer performers were recruited. They will be among the protagonists of the ceremonies and 1,500 hours of rehearsals are estimated. The production staff will lead the work carried out by 150 professionals from around the world who supported by about 1,000 volunteers working in all 400,000 hours.The production includes the use of 3,000 kg of fireworks, 20 km of fiber optic cables, 2,000 lights, 76,000 kg of scaffolding, 60,000 strictly recyclable batteries, 650 speakers. Creative aspects of all events and ceremonies will be directed by the great talented Brazilian artists, who will express in exemplary and effective manner the best of Brazil to the world.

The directors appointed with the Olympic Ceremonies direction will be: Fernando Meirelles, a world-known Brazilian director director of the film "City of God" nominated for an Oscar in 2004; Daniela Thomas, director of theatre and cinema with a great creative experience in set design and costumes; Andrucha Waddington, one of the most important and talented Brazilian filmmakers.The Paralympic Ceremonies instead will be directed by the award-winning Brazilian artist Vik Muniz, Marcelo Rubens Paiva, and Fred Gelli, a talented director boasting a Lion at Cannes. As for the torch: there are over 250 cities involved in the trip in 100 days for a total of 20,000 km covered by more than 10,000 torchbearers.
