Chance to win a trip for two to the 2018 USA Luge Fantasy Camp in Lake Placid, New York

Columbus, Ohio – Do you have what it takes to be a slider? White CastleÒ is proud to team up with USA Luge for the nationwide Be A Sliderä contest, searching for one bold Craver to win a trip for two to the 2018 USA Luge Fantasy Camp where they’ll experience what it takes to be a luge athlete!

"Athletes who luge are called sliders, not to be confused with delicious White CastleÒ Sliders," said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle. "As a family owned business, White Castle embraces bold moves, and who could better represent the essence of bold than someone speeding down an icy track on a luge sled. The winner of this contest will have the slider experience of a lifetime."

An Olympic sport since 1964, luge consists of athletes sliding down a track of ice on sleds, feet first, at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. In addition to five Olympic medals, USA Luge athletes, referred to as ‘sliders,’ have won almost 600 elite level and junior international medals since 1994, making the organization one of the most decorated National Governing Bodies in the United States.

The nation’s two foremost slider experts, White Castle and USA Luge, announced a two-year partnership in April 2017, making White Castle the first and only restaurant brand in the United States to become an official partner of USA Luge and title sponsor of the off-season recruitment program, the White Castle USA Luge Slider Search.

The grand prize winner will receive airfare, food, and other accommodations for them and a thrill-seeking guest to the 3-day USA Luge Fantasy Camp at the USA Luge’s home in Lake Placid, NY from April 6 – 8, 2018. They’ll also receive their own GoPro to capture incredible footage from this chance-of-a-lifetime advance and other White Castle swag.

"It’ll take two bold and brave souls who are ready for the time of their lives," Richardson said. "Enter online today – your luge fantasy is just one question and photo away."

The contest runs through January 31, 2018 and entries may be made online at www.BeASlider.com. Interactive contest submissions may be shared on social media using the hashtag #BeASliderContest.

White Castle is a proud Sponsor of USA Luge and the White Castle USA Luge Slider Search, the official nationwide athlete recruitment tour of USA Luge. For more information, please visit http://www.teamusa.org/usa-luge/slider-search.
