Sport Show Welcomes All to Paris -- Conferences and Conventions

(ATR) The multi-sport exhibition Sport Show will take place at the Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris this year.

The event will focus on eight ‘Hubs’ each dedicated to a specific set of sports. Hubs feature gymnastics, bicycling, water sports, martial arts, car racing and more.

Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities as well as learn about various technologies through shows and demonstrations.

Networking sessions with key sport leaders, instructors and coaches will also be available for attendees.

2017 WSF Coaching Conference Host Unveiled

Bucaramanga, Colombia has been named host of the 2017 World Squash Federation Coaching conference.

After 2017, the event will be held annually. This year it will take place at the Club Campestre de Bucaramanga beginning Sep. 14.

Professional athletes David Palmer and Sarah Fitz-Gerald of Australia are among the confirmed speakers for the conference.

This event follows the WSF Development and Coaching Conference last year in Kuala Lumpur.

"After the success of Malaysia in 2016, we are certain that Colombia will more than match it this year," WSF CEO Andrew Shelley said in a statement.

"Coupled with the continuing expansion of the WSF Coach Education Program, which is providing internationally-recognized qualification standards, it is an exciting time for both coaches and coaching."

Venue Security Focus at World Stadium Congress

The three-day World Stadium Congress will feature workshops and panels on venue security, innovations in stadium technology and more.

The 2017 edition of the event beginning May 9, will be the largest gathering of stakeholders involved in the stadia and arena industry.

An awards ceremony will be held during the first day of the congress.Architect of the year, Stadium Design of the year and 38 more awards will be recognized at the event.

The 'Stadium Safety and Security' workshop will be held the entire day on May 11, concluding the congress.

Project Director of Euro 2020 Dimitri Huygen and Director of Operations for the European Safety and Safety Management Association Jan Stryckers will be speaking at the security workshop.

Bulgaria Named Host of 2017 ITF Coaches Conference

The 2017 International Tennis Federation's Worldwide Coaches Conference will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria beginning Oct. 11.

More than 650 coaches from more than 90 countries are expected to attend the four day event.

The conference will feature the ITF's Coach Education program along with speaker presentations from numerous key leaders in sport. ITF President David Haggerty, LTA Head of Performance Coaching Louis Cayer and Tennis Australia's Innovation Catalyst Machar Reid are among some of this year's confirmed speakers.

"Tennis development is at the heart of our ITF 2024 strategy, and the tennis coach continues to play a vital role in the growth of our sport throughout the world,"ITF President David Haggerty said in a statement.

"We look forward to welcoming a large number of coaches and speakers from around the world to this year’s ITF Worldwide Conference, that will look at each stage of a player’s long term development, from the initial participation program through to high performance training."

The conference will conclude on Oct. 14.
