Men’s Curling World Champs

Competition ends Sunday at the 2013 World Men's Curling Championship in Victoria, British Columbia.

The hosts Canada are the defending champs, but will face challenges from China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.

Preliminary matches run through Thursday.

According to the quirky Page playoff system, the top two finishers then face off Friday night with the winner going straight to the gold medal game. The loser, however, then plays the winner of Saturday morning’s 3 versus 4 matchup with the other spot in Sunday’s final at stake.

On the Record - Yannis Exarchos

ATR Editor Ed Hula goes on the record this week with Yiannis Exarchos, new CEO of Olympic Broadcasting Services.

In a wide-ranging interview conducted earlier this month in Madrid, the Greek discusses preparations for Sochi, changes to OBS under his command and more.

Stay tuned Tuesday for this latest installment of On the Record.
