(ATR) FIBA and Airbnb are now working together to provide accommodations for players and fans throughout EuroBasket 2015.

EuroBasket 2015 began on September 5 and will conclude September 20. Throughout the tournament competition will be held across four countries for the first time in Eurobasket history.

Group stage play will take place in Germany, France, Latvia and Croatia, and the final will be in France. The event is expected to bring 400,000 spectators to these countries.

Airbnb will utilize the opportunity to provide community-driven accommodation listings across these countries.

"Knowing the FIBA community has diverse travel needs, Airbnb’s array of accommodations will be able to provide them with a local experience as they cheer on their favourite teams at EuroBasket 2015," said Airbnb head of business development Lex Bayer.

"Working together with Airbnb will help us offer basketball fans affordable accommodations during the EuroBasket 2015 games and other events this year," said FIBA secretary general Patrick Baumann.

GungHo Becomes Gold Sponsor of WBSC Premier 12

Tokyo-based gaming company GungHo Online Entertainment will be featured on signs throughout the venues used to host the WBSC Premier 12 tournament.

The gaming company has signed on as a gold sponsor of the inaugural Premier 12 tournament, putting the company in the top tier of sponsors for the event.

"This is a natural fit for WBSC and our newest flagship event Premier12, as the sport of baseball entertains hundreds of millions of fans every year with action on the field. This partnership with GungHo on Premier12 promises to create a very special synergy dedicated to the fan and game-experience," said WBSC president Riccardo Fraccari.

The WBSC Premier 12 will take place in Japan and Taiwan from November 8-21 and will feature the top 12 baseball teams from around the world battling to become the champions.

Tissot Named Official Timekeeper of RWC 2015

With less than a week remaining until the Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off, World Rugby appoints Tissot as the official timekeeper of the tournament.

This is the latest in several sponsorship additions announced by World Rugby in the past few weeks. Tissot is the last sponsor with an official function in the world cup to be named.

"We are very proud to be part of Rugby World Cup 2015. The sport of Rugby in itself demonstrates many of our company values, such as teamwork and individual performance at the same time, respect, discipline and a love for sport," said Tissot President François Thiébaud.

World Rugby says the appointment of the globally-renowned timekeepers and watch-makers can only add to the experience of the world cup. Organizers expect this edition of the tournament to break attendance, viewing and commercial records.

"We are delighted that Tissot has joined the global Rugby World Cup 2015 commercial family. The appointment of another brand sector leader further underscores the tremendous appeal of England 2015 in the global marketplace," said World Rugby chief executive officer Brett Gosper.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 begins September 18 and concludes October 31.
