(ATR) Worldwide Olympic partner Coca-Cola will be the official beverage partner of World Table Tennis (WTT) events in China during 2021.

The IOC TOP sponsor joins as WTT’s first-ever partner in the modern era of the sport.

Coca-Cola will enjoy exclusivity across the categories of water, energy drinks and soft drinks at WTT events in China and at WTT’s upcoming showpiece, WTT Macao. China is set to host the very first Grand Smash – the top tier in professional table tennis – among other new-look WTT events in 2021.

"WTT is delighted to be teaming up with an organisation of Coca-Cola’s international calibre. This stellar partnership reinforces our ambition to elevate table tennis to the global sports elite." said Liu Guoliang, WTT Council Chair, in a statement.

WTT Macao, scheduled for November 25-29, 2020, has a trio of partnerships. In addition to Coca-Cola, Galaxy Entertainment Group and LD Sports have also signed on.

Tickets for the event, which will offer a preview of some of the other new-look events on the 2021 calendar, went on sale on November 11.

"These partnerships with global brands Coca-Cola, Galaxy Entertainment Group and LD Sports underline the significant plans that we have for our sport, WTT Director and ITTF CEO Steve Dainton said in a statement.

"Macao will be a show like no other and a bold statement of our intentions to take table tennis to the next level."

World Triathlon and Infront Sign Extension

World Triathlon extends its exclusive partnership with Infront until the end of the 2028 season.

The deal means that for the next eight years Infront and World Triathlon continue to work closely together on the well-established TriathlonLIVE over-the-top (OTT) platform, including dedicated content and marketing campaigns.

Infront, a Wanda Sports Group company, will also exclusively distribute the international media rights for World Triathlon’s top tier events including the World Triathlon Championship Series, World Triathlon Championship Finals and World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships.

"After several seasons of partnership with Infront we are delighted with the continuous growth of TriathlonLIVE and the exposure of our sport through our global broadcast partners," World Triathlon President and IOC member, Marisol Casado said in a statement.

"We look forward to continuing this balanced approach together with Infront to reach and engage our worldwide audience via all media channels."
