(ATR) The Japanese government is considering creating an Olympics minister to oversee the Games preparation.
On Wednesday, Japanese newspaper The Yomiuri Shimbun reported that the bill creating the the position will be submitted to the cabinet by the end of the month.
The post will be dissolved at the end of the 2020 fiscal year.
Sports minister Hakubun Shimomura is currently the minister in charge of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
