(ATR) The 2014 Commonwealth Games opened on Wednesday at Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland.

Queen Elizabeth II addressed athletes, officials, and spectators at the ceremony.

Olympian Chris Hoy handed the Queen's baton over to Commonwealth Games federation president Prince Imran prior to the raising of the Commonwealth Games flag.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games conclude on Sunday, August 3.
