Less than 24 hours from our last release, we must report an increase of the provisions to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Perù. Please find below a new update as of the 13th of March 2020.

Date: 5- 11 April 2020

Current COVID-19 confirmed cases: 22

CDC Risk Assessment Level for COVID-19: Risk of limited community transmission (1 of 4)

Travel restrictions: The ministry of transport and communication has suspended flights between Perù, Europe and Asia. The travel ban will be in place for thirty (30) calendar days from March 16, 2020.

Considering the various global travel restrictions and the evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, World Skate and the local authorities have decided to suspend the event. A new date for the event will be set and released soon, together with more information about the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualification System.
