Charles Hamelin Named Air Canada's Athlete Of The Year

TORONTO – Today, the Canadian Olympic Committee issued the following statement of congratulations to two-time Olympian and three-time Olympic medallist, Charles Hamelin for being nominated as Air Canada’s Athlete of the Year. The short track speed skater was voted as the winner of the award in a national online poll.

"Congratulations to Charles on such a fantastic and well-deserved award. His track record of success in both Olympic Games and world championship competition has made him a symbol of strength and excellence in our country. He is a great role model for all Canadians. On behalf of the entire Canadian Olympic Family, I want to congratulate Charles and thank Air Canada for continuing to support and promote our country’s sporting heroes."
