(ATR) Toronto 2015 chief executive officer Saad Rafi spoke to Around the Rings on Friday aboutthe road ahead for the Pan and Parapan Am Games.
Rafi says the organizing committee is taking lessons from Glasgow 2014, and even the 2014 FIFA World Cup, to prepare for the Pan Am Games.
Officials in Toronto predict the 2015 Pan Am Games will gather some 7,500 athletes from the 41 Pan American Sports Organization member nations.
Canada has hosted the Pan Am Games twice before--once in 1967 and 1999--both times in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
