(ATR) The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) is set to launch its new "Athletes in Excellence" awards program.

The GSD says the award is designed to honor both competing and retired athletes, domestically and internationally, who have been "role models, leaders, and champions not just in sports," but in their communities as well.
