(ATR) Atos is now the exclusive IT provider of Panam Sports after the two sides announced a long-term partnership this week.

The company will provide expertise gleaned from 17 years as the worldwide IT partner of the Olympic Games to support and enhance the online presence of Panam Sports.

Atos has been instrumental in presenting the past five editions of the Pan American Games, and the new agreement means it will be working on the next two editions, in Lima next July and in Santiago in 2023.

Throughout the 17-day events, Atos will provide a number of services to enable more than 500 million fans around the world to experience the Games, including applications that handle everything from accreditation and access control to providing live results, scores and times for every discipline of every sport.

"Utilizing the innovative technology solutions Atos can provide, athletes, fans and audiences will feel more connected to the Pan American Games than ever before," Neven Ilic, President of Panam Sports, said in a statement.

"We're pleased to bring our cutting-edge technology and wealth of Games expertise and experience to help enhance the brand value of Panam Sports and ensure the success of the Pan American Games as the continent’s largest sporting event." said Patrick Adiba, CEO Olympic Games and Major Events, Atos.

Australian Beef to Fuel 2020 Olympic Team

The 2020 Australian Olympic Team is partnering with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) in a new sponsorship deal.

"It makes sense that Australian Beef, renowned for its superior quality and nutritional properties, should fuel the elite Australian athletes that will compete in the ultimate physical and mental contest," said MLA managing director Richard Norton as he announced the partnership this week.

The agreement, which takes effect at the end of this month and runs to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, will build on existing marketing and communications initiatives in the Australian market and include cross promotional opportunities in Japan, according to Norton.

He says that Australian beef will be served at all official Australia Olympic Team events in Japan.

Australian Olympic Committee Chief Executive Officer Matt Carroll says the partnership is a "significant boost" for the country’s 2020 Olympic Team.

"We are focused on giving every athlete the opportunity to excel at these Games and that is only possible through the generous support of our partners.

"This is a new category for the AOC and it’s an exciting opportunity. We know Japan loves Australian red meat for its high quality. And no one knows the benefits of healthy eating better than our Olympic athletes."
