(ATR) The Vancouver 2010 board of directors meets today – minus chairman Jack Poole, recovering from surgery, the nature of which has not been disclosed.
Poole, 76, is at home recovering from operation which is said to be “unrelated to his previous medical conditions,” according to vice-president of communications Renee Smith-Valade.
Poole was treated in 2007 for pancreatic cancer.
Poole will listen today by phone while Rusty Goepel, a director appointed by the British Columbia government, chairs the closed-door meeting.
