(ATR) The third Winter Youth Olympic Games opened in Lausanne Thursday night.
Roughly 8,000 spectators gathered in the Vaudoise Arena for the opening ceremony.
More than 4,500 athletes will participate in 16 winter disciplines including ice hockey, snowboarding, curling and more.
