The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee today welcomed Cisco Systems G.K. (Cisco) as a Tokyo 2020 Official Partner, the second domestic tier of the Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Programme.
The company, a Japanese subsidiary of Cisco Systems Inc., has been attributed the category "Network Equipment." Its addition brings the total number of Tokyo 2020 domestic partners to 37*, including 22 Official Partners.
Tokyo 2020 President Yoshiro Mori welcomed the new appointment, "The company has a wealth of experience and a proven track record of supporting the communication of complex and diversified Games-related information and images at previous editions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the Network Equipment category. We are delighted that Cisco will be a Tokyo 2020 Official Partner in the increasingly sophisticated ICT world in the lead up to the 2020 Games, and we are confident that our partnership with Cisco will contribute to making the Tokyo 2020 Games the most connected Games in history."

About the Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Programme: The Olympic sponsor programme is divided into four separate categories, with the IOC’s The Olympic Partner (TOP) programme constituting the very highest level of Olympic sponsorship.
