The Riyadh 2030 Bid Committee today revealed details of its transformative Asian Olympic Family Program to support visiting National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and ensure athletes from across Asia perform at their very best at the 2030 Asian Games.

Leaving an enduring legacy for the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is a key commitment of Riyadh’s bid for the 2030 Asian Games. Central to this will be the Asian Olympic Family Program, which will share learnings and experiences, helping the OCA to foster increased connections and transfer knowledge between NOCs. This will be implemented in line with the Quality of Life Vision Realisation Program as part of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Vision 2030.

The Asian Olympic Family Program will complement Riyadh 2030’s world class venues and facilities, unparalleled high-performance training facilities and its compact and efficient hosting plan. The easily accessible Athletes’ Village, located at the heart of the Games, will instil a community atmosphere reinforcing the Bid’s commitment to placing Asia’s athletes at its heart and ensuring they have an incredible experience.

In the build up to and throughout the 2030 Asian Games, the OCA Family will have access to a range of services that will provide a comfortable, convenient and successful experience, with NOC benefits including:

· Complimentary accommodation for all NOC delegates in the state-of-the-art Athletes’ Village with office space, medical space and storage - a first for the Asian Games

· Enhanced travel funding to support NOC delegation attendance and participation

· Free media travel and accommodation for one media representative per NOC to cover the Games and guarantee universal coverage of Riyadh 2030

· Asian Games Camps from 2023 to identify young talent and provide a seven-year high-performance programme preparing them for the 2030 Asian Games

· Asian Games Academies creating a solidarity chain between NOCs and offering delegates an Events Management MBA at Riyadh’s King Saud University to encourage future hosting of multi-sport events

· Young Ambassadors across media, sports, culture and arts in each country to represent the spirit of the Games

· OCA Fun Run Relay developed into a new connected event in every NOC country with male and female winners invited to the Asian Games Opening Ceremony and to take part in an education, sporting and cultural exchange program

Athletes’ benefits will include:

· Inclusive Athletes’ Village with a warm and inviting community atmosphere located at the heart of Riyadh 2030

· Extensive training centre and recovery facility where all athletes will have access to convenient training and recreation sites in the Athletes’ Village

· Culturally diverse dining facilities with menus developed in consultation with caterers and sports nutritionists

· Free, high-speed wireless broadband available throughout the Village

· On-demand medical services for athletes and team officials at the Games’ Polyclinic and every sports venue, providing 24-hour direct care

· An Athlete Transport System to provide quick and convenient transit services for athletes and team officials travelling to and from competition and training venues, on arrival and at departure to the airport, and the city centre

Riyadh 2030 is committed to improving individuals’ lifestyles across the Kingdom, and this generous program guarantees NOCs, athletes and the wider OCA Family will have the opportunity to inspire a new generation of fans across Asia with an unforgettable Asian Games experience.

Riyadh 2030 Bid Committee President, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Alfaisal, said:

"We are delighted to announce details of our Asian Olympic Family Program as part of our overarching commitment to ensuring athletes and NOCs enjoy a comfortable and seamless experience in our spectacular city. Athletes will have access to state-of-the-art training facilities, medical and catering services and an inclusive and welcoming Athletes’ Village throughout their time in Riyadh, which will in turn allow them to perform to their very best.

"This program puts the needs of athletes and the wider Asian Olympic Family at the heart of Riyadh’s bid to host the Asian Games and will allow all to enjoy the benefits of our compact, efficient and interconnected hosting plan."

HH Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz, Director General of Riyadh 2030 and Vice President of Saudi Arabia Olympic Committee, said:

"We are excited to reveal our support for NOCs as part of our ongoing dedication to bringing the region together in a transformative celebration of sport. Athletes and NOCs are fundamental to the smooth running of Riyadh 2030 and these plans outline our commitment to creating an inclusive community for the whole Asian Olympic Family to enjoy.

"We are proud to introduce complimentary travel and accommodation for NOC delegates and important legacy programs that will continue the spread of the Asian Olympic Movement and form strong bonds between member nations. Our Asian Games Camp, Asian Games Academy and cultural activation programs will allow knowledge and resources to be shared between NOCs and will guarantee Riyadh 2030 leaves an enduring legacy across the whole of Asia."
