(ATR) A document from Brazil's Olympic Public Authority (APO) says 71 percent of its 52 total projects for Rio 2016 have "completed contracts and started construction."

The APO updated theRio2016 Olympics Responsibility Matrix on Tuesday.

The matrix, according to the APO, includes all commitments made by government agencies in relation to the staging and organization of the 2016 Summer Games. The APOcontinuously updates and regularly publishes the matrix to "ensure transparency and accountability."

"We’re sure that the Games in Rio will be well organized,"APO president Fernando Azevedo e Silva said in a statement. "The Matrix shows which construction projects have already started."

The Deodoro Sports Complex projects "contributed the most to the progress achieved in relation to the Matrix’s indexes and totals," according to the APO.

"Public organizations are committed to the staging of a lean and efficient Olympics," Azevedo e Silva said.

The 2016 Rio Olympics begin on August 5 and the 2016 Paralympic Games begin September 7.
