KT Tape® and the United States Olympic Committee today announced a renewed agreement for KT Tape to continue as the official kinesiology tape licensee of Team USA through the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. KT Tape, category leader in kinesiology tape and sports medicine taping products, will be available to U.S. athletes at all U.S. Olympic Training Centers.

"KT Tape’s inspiration is rooted in the Olympic and Paralympic movements, and we are excited to be making a long-term commitment to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams," said Greg Venner, chief executive officer of KT Health. "Our mission is to empower all athletes to be their best. By supporting Team USA in each step towards the podium, we hope to encourage athletes everywhere to compete with confidence."

KT Tape’s agreement with the USOC began last year ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016. Through 2020, KT Tape will continue to provide product for athletes, coaches and the USOC sports medicine staff.

Later this year, KT Tape will unveil a new video series, Working Out with Team USA, on TeamUSA.org. KT Tape’s U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athlete ambassadors will take fans on a behind-the-scenes look at their training regimen and preparations at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers. Viewers will learn how Team USA athletes utilize KT Tape and other tools to achieve peak performance on the world stage.

In addition to supporting the USOC, KT Tape’s commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic movements includes relationships with eight National Governing Bodies – USA Cycling, USA Gymnastics, USA Rugby, U.S. Soccer, US Speedskating, USA Track & Field, USA Triathlon and USA Wrestling. KT Tape has also expanded its family of ambassadors to 17 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls across 10 sports. Among the ambassadors are distance runners Molly Huddle and Meb Keflezighi, alpine skier Julia Mancuso, and Paralympic skier and cyclist Oksana Masters. KT Tape is a lightweight, elastic sports and fitness tape designed for muscle, ligament and tendon pain relief and support for hundreds of sports-related injuries. Applied along soft tissue, KT Tape interacts naturally with the body’s neuromuscular systems to allow individuals to remain active while recovering from injuries. It is the only solution that provides pain relief and support before, during, and after activity without restricting motion. KT Tape is designed to withstand sweat, strain and can be worn in water or under body-hugging athletic apparel, while providing long-lasting relief.

"KT Tape was a valuable addition to our sports medicine staff leading into the Rio Games, and we are excited to extend our relationship through the Tokyo 2020 Games," said Dr. Bill Moreau, USOC managing director of sports medicine. "Team USA athletes are constantly pushing their bodies to the limits, and this multipurpose tape helps alleviate pain so elite U.S. athletes can continue their pursuit of competitive excellence."

The KT Tape product will be available to Team USA athletes at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers. Fans can support both Team USA and their muscles with the Team USA KT Tape Pro line. The Team USA tape is available in red, blue and black and can be purchased at retailers including DICK'S Sporting Goods as well as online at KTTape.com.
