(ATR)The first-ever Azerbaijan minister of youth and sport, Rahimov is leading capital Baku towards the first European Games in June 2015 – and if successful, possibly a new Olympic bid.

The 50 NOCs of Europe are watching closely how the European Games unfold. The host for 2019 is still to be decided. Rahimov, 50, is a voluble and engaging advocate for the cause of sport in Azerbaijan.
