Turkey’s most desirable sport resort will this week host all 50 European National Olympic Committees as they travel to Belek for the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Seminar and Extraordinary General Assembly.

Situated on Antalya’s stunning coastline and home to the largest multisport complex in the Mediterranean, Belek is rapidly boosting its portfolio as an international sport host following last year’s SportAccord Convention and Turkish Airlines Golf Open.

President of the EOC, Patrick Hickey, said:

"It has been wonderful for us all to come back to Belek following last year’s SportAccord Convention. The world-class facilities here make it an ideal location for the EOC to host our Extraordinary General Assembly. I would like to thank our wonderful Turkish hosts for their warm hospitality and I look forward to what will be a very fruitful few days of discussion."

President of the Turkish Olympic Committee, Professor Dr. Ugur Erdener, said:

"I am delighted that Belek has been chosen once again to host representatives of the Olympic family. The Gloria Sports Arena here is a fantastic example of how Turkey is investing in sport at all levels. The environment and facilities here are ideal for sport and International Federations continue to show interest in bringing their athletes here to compete in this stunning setting."

2015 will be another major year for Belek which has already hosted the international Gloria Volleyball Cup and World Dance Championship and is currently preparing to host the grueling 70.3 Ironman Turkey later this year.
