Askar receives GCC bowling delegations heads

Seef – Bahrain Olympic Committee:

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at

his office in Seef heads of the GCC delegations taking part in the GCC Bowling

Championships, being held in Bahrain.

Askar welcomed the delegates, namely Qatari delegation head and former world

champion Ahmed Al Muraikhi, Oman’s Mohammed Al Shanfari and Saudi Arabia’s Fahad Al

Isa, and conveyed the greetings of Supreme Coucnil for Youth and Sports chairman and

BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and wished them success.

Also during the meeting, Askar lauded the remarkable performances of the GCC teams in

the championship, which reflects the advanced level of bowling in the Arabian Gulf region.

On their part, the GCC delegations heads expressed gratitude to the BOC and the Bahrain

Bowling Association for the great organization of this event, and commended the efforts

of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its contributions to support bowling.

The meeting was also attended by BOC board member Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al

Khalifa, Bahrain Bowling Association president Abdulla Al Dossary, treasurer and

tournament director Waleed Othman.
